Cookies & tracking
What KiyanoGo stores on your device, what it does not, and how to get rid of it.
What we set ourselves
KiyanoGo sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies of its own. What it stores is the app’s own state, and on a first visit with no account that is a single entry:
| Name | Kind | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
kiyanogo.state.v1 | Local storage | Your saved places, your trips and your light or dark preference | Until you clear it |
sb-…-auth-token and related | Cookie | Your sign-in session, so you stay signed in and the server can recognise you. Only set if you have an account and are signed in. | Until you sign out or it expires |
sb-…-code-verifier | Cookie | A short-lived value used to complete a sign-in securely (PKCE). | Removed as soon as sign-in finishes |
These are strictly necessary for features you asked for — saving a place, and signing in — so they do not require consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. None of them is used to advertise to you or to follow you anywhere, and a visitor who never creates an account is only ever left with the first row.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without storing an identifier on your device. There is no analytics cookie to accept or reject, and nothing that follows you to another site.
What other companies may set
Some things on KiyanoGo are served by other companies, and those can set their own storage under their own policies. We have listed them by when they happen, because apart from the map tiles, all of them only happen if you ask. No advertising or affiliate script runs while you are simply reading.
| Who | When | Whose policy applies |
|---|---|---|
| Travelpayouts (flight search) | Only after you tap “Search flights” | Travelpayouts |
| Travelpayouts links to Airalo and Klook | Only if you follow one | Travelpayouts and the partner |
| OpenStreetMap Foundation | When a trip map is shown | OpenStreetMap Foundation |
| Only if you open a hotel or map search |
Affiliate links generally work by recording that a visit came from KiyanoGo, so a booking can be attributed to us. That is what pays for the app. It is disclosed on every page where such a link appears, and again in the privacy policy.
Clearing it
- In the app: Profile → “Clear this device” removes your saved places and trips from this browser.
- In your browser: clearing site data for KiyanoGo removes everything above, including the sign-in token.
- Your account: clearing your browser does not delete an account. Profile → delete account does, and it takes your saved places and trips with it.
