A 1410 shrine holding the portrait of King Taejo, founder of the Joseon dynasty, whose clan came from Jeonju, set in grounds of bamboo and old zelkova.
Why it’s worth it
The bamboo walk behind the main hall is where everyone in hanbok ends up, and the shrine itself is free of the crowd. The portrait is a national treasure.
