Hyeopjae Beach

협재해수욕장

Hallim, Jeju · 제주

A wide west-coast beach of white shell sand, unusually shallow far out, looking straight at the small volcanic island of Biyangdo a kilometre offshore.

Why it’s worth it

The colour is genuine and best two hours either side of low tide. It faces west, so it is also one of the island’s best sunsets.
