Yuigahama Beach

由比ヶ浜

Yuigahama, Kamakura · 鎌倉

Kamakura’s main beach, a kilometre of dark sand on Sagami Bay, lined with seasonal beach huts in summer and completely open the rest of the year.

Why it’s worth it

On a clear winter afternoon Fuji sits directly across the bay from this beach. Walk here from the Great Buddha in about twenty minutes.
